Ringo Starr and The Jacaranda reunite in celebration of his new album, Long Long Road
We’re proud to announce that Jacaranda Records is partnering with Ringo Starr to release an exclusive Jacaranda Edition of his new album, Long Long Road, alongside a special listening event at The Jacaranda on Tuesday 21st April at 17:30.
Ahead of the album’s official release on Friday 24th April, we will also host a special listening event on Tuesday 21st April at 17:30. The event offers fans an exclusive opportunity to hear the album in full before its release, in a special setting. Attendees will also be treated to a video message recorded exclusively for the listening party by Ringo.
Jacaranda Records sits above The Jacaranda, the iconic Liverpool venue where The Beatles first performed. Ringo Starr, then playing with Rory Storm & The Hurricanes, also played there, and it was in this very space that he first found himself in a room with The Beatles, later recalling: “They were in the basement teaching Stuart Sutcliffe to play bass. That was the first time I met them.”
This shared history makes the reunion especially fitting, as Long Long Road is a retrospective album reflecting on Ringo’s life and career, with references to Liverpool woven throughout its themes and lyrics.
