Jacaranda Records Announce Partnership with Community Integrated Care to Transform Lives through Music

Jacaranda Records are proud to announce an inspiring partnership with the leading social care charity, Community Integrated Care, to change the lives of local people who draw on care and support through music.

Liverpool’s iconic bar, music venue and record store brand are launching JaCAREanda, a creative partnership to champion the charity, which supports thousands of people who have learning disabilities, autistic people, and people in mental health recovery.

Proudly founded in Merseyside almost 40 years ago, Community Integrated Care charity leads care impact and innovation in the sector, delivering more than 8-million hours of support – with a mission of ensuring that every person can lead the Best Life Possible. It proudly supports and employs thousands of people in the Liverpool City Region.

Through this partnership, artists performing at Jacaranda venues will generously donate exclusive memorabilia from their concerts – including setlists, song lyrics and equipment. These unique items will be auctioned to fund important support, including music therapy, creative enablement workshops, and music-based reminiscence for older people.

Items already donated from Brit-pop icons and Kula Shaker and global superstar Mika are set to go up for auction soon!

Jacaranda Records’ team have also committed to delivering accessible live music experiences that bring moments of hope, joy and opportunity for members of the charity’s communities.

The Jacaranda is famous for being the place where The Beatles first played, so the launch of the partnership was celebrated with a special online Beatles tribute concert. The concert was free to all disabled communities and hosted by Community Integrated Care on their acclaimed online experiences platform, www.What-To-Do.co.uk.

A Partnership Rooted In Community And Creativity

John Hughes, Director of Partnerships at Community Integrated Care, says:

“This partnership has a vital purpose. Music plays an incredibly powerful role in sensory wellbeing, personal expression and happiness, so the funds and opportunities generated in this partnership will truly empower and change lives.

Too often, people who draw on care and support are unseen and overlooked, so it is incredibly inspiring to be partnering with such an iconic, vibrant and loved brand. We have been inspired by the strong sense of community in the Jacaranda venues and store, and the team’s commitment to ensuring that everyone can feel the joy of music. We can’t wait to work with them to use the power of music to change hundreds of local lives.”

Graham Stanley, Managing Director of Jacaranda Records, says:

“This collaboration with Community Integrated Care is a proud moment for the Jacaranda team. We admire the charity’s impact in delivering life-changing support to so many people in our local communities. Our Jacaranda community, artists, and team members are incredibly excited to have the opportunity to help ensure that music can empower many lives.”

“We’re really thrilled that the partnership kicked off with a special free Beatles performance on the charity’s What To Do platform. It was inspiring to see so many people, locally and nationally, come together and experience an unforgettable night inspired by the heritage of Jacaranda.”
