Jacaranda Records celebrates their 10th Record Store Day with huge plans, surprises and a special free vinyl you can’t get anywhere else on the planet

In celebration of our 10th Record Store Day, we’re excited to announce our plans, and it’s set to be our biggest Record Store Day ever!

In recent years, we’ve become the go-to destination for Record Store Day celebrations in Liverpool. This year, alongside our usual huge stock numbers, live music, free hot drinks and a BBQ for early-morning queuers, we’ll also be giving away 100 free vinyl records that you can’t get anywhere else on the planet.

Limited to one per customer, we’ll have 100 free Kula Shaker single-sided 7” vinyl records available. Customers will be able to choose either the record or an alternative free giveaway on the day.

Britpop band Kula Shaker’s debut album K debuted at No.1 in the UK, selling over 100,000 copies in its first week – one of the biggest debut album launches of the Britpop era.

The band’s recording of their single Day for Night was made in official collaboration with Kula Shaker using our 1948 Voice-O-Graph machine, an authentic piece of vintage technology that cuts three minutes of audio directly to vinyl. The record was then lathe-cut at Fat Monkey Studios onto 100 records.

Record Store Day 2026 highlights in the UK include exclusive vinyl from Taylor Swift, Olivia Dean and PinkPantheress, alongside special releases from Charli XCX, Wolf Alice and Paramore. Classic artists are also featured, with limited pressings from David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Fleetwood Mac and The Cure, all available exclusively through independent record shops while stocks last. You can see the full list here.

As always, live music at The Jacaranda will be free and will take place in the basement and on the ground floor of our Slater Street venue. Line-ups for both spaces will be announced in the coming weeks, alongside a few special surprises that will remain under wraps until the day itself!
